What to Expecting When PrEPing
To start PrEp, you will need to see our providers for at least 2 visits.
First Visit
The initial visit may be 30 minutes long. We will review the medication and indications and decide with you if PrEP is right for you.
There will be testing that needs to occur before you start the medication and then every 3 months while you are on the medication.
Second Visit
On the second visit, we will review your results and provide you with the prescription and plan for follow-up care. We can also discuss the most convenient way for you to do future visits!
The medication is covered by OHIP+, ODB and most private insurance companies.
